Children's China: Celebrating Culture, Character and Confucius
Now at: The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum (MO)
Developed by The Magic House, St. Louis Children's Museum with the Confucius Institute at Webster University and CHARACTERplus, Children’s China is a 1,500-square-foot exhibit that showcases unique environments significant to children in China today, yet illustrates the values that Confucius taught 2,500 years ago. Integrating timeless traditions, contemporary customs, character education and imaginative play, Children’s China portrays the present-day activities that Chinese families practice, as well as their roots in Confucius’ teachings. Designed for children ages 3 through 12, the exhibit incorporates Confucius’ quotes, hands-on activities, innovative technology and authentic artifacts to give visitors an understanding of Confucius' impact on modern Chinese life.
